Why Now?
The rise of autonomous AI agents is transforming how software gets built, deployed, and operated. But today, most agents run with hardcoded API keys, no verifiable identity, and zero isolation from production infrastructure. This is a ticking time bomb.
We started RunEnclave because we believe that for agents to be trusted with real work — processing payments, managing infrastructure, handling customer data — they need the same security primitives that humans have had for decades: identity, scoped access, and containment.
What We're Building
RunEnclave is the identity and access control plane for autonomous agents. Our platform provides three core capabilities:
- Agent Identity — Cryptographic, verifiable identities tied to human owners with full audit trails. Integrates with Okta, Google, and Azure AD.
- Credential Brokering — Just-in-time, short-lived API credentials generated on demand. No more secrets in .env files. Kill any agent's access globally in under 60 seconds.
- Sandboxed Execution — Firecracker microVMs with strict egress controls, human-in-the-loop approval gates, and complete network isolation. Boot time under 500ms.
How We'll Use the Funds
This seed round will fuel three key priorities:
- Engineering — Expand the team to accelerate platform development, particularly around credential brokering integrations and microVM orchestration.
- Design Partnerships — Work closely with early adopters in fintech, DevOps, and enterprise AI to shape the product around real-world agent security needs.
- Infrastructure — Scale our global warm-pool microVM infrastructure to deliver sub-500ms boot times at production scale.
